Objective To explore the clinical effect of the in situ regenerative restoration technology (MEBT/ MEBO) in the treatment of generalized diabetic ulcerative defect of perianal tissue. Methods Eleven patients with the generalized ulcerative defect of perianal tissue caused by diabetic perianal abscess and admitted into our department between November 2008 and December 2011 were treated with MEBT/ MEBO through the whole treatment course. The wound appearance after healing, the anal defecation function and the healing time were observed. Results All the eleven patients were cured and the mean healing time of the defect sites were 66. 42 d ±11. 41 d. The appearance of wounds after healing and the function of defect sites were well recovered, and the aim of in situ regenerative restoration was realized. Conclusion The generalized ulcerative defect of perianal tissue caused by diabetes when treated with MEBT/ MEBO at the meantime of controlling the protopathy, can realize in situ regenerative restoration with good recovery of appearance and functions.
