| Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of self-made TCM decoction in combination with MEBO ointment in the treatment of herpes zoster of damp-heat type. Methods: Sixty patients with herpes zoster of damp-heat type were randomly divided into a treatment group (30 patients) and a control group (30 patients). The treatment group was given self-made TCM decoction for oral administration and MEBO ointment for external application, while the control group was given self-made TCM decoction for oral administration combined with external application of Aciclovir Cream, and the therapeutic effects of the two groups were observed. Results: The total effective rates in the treatment group and in the control group were 93.33% and 53.34% respectively; The difference between the two groups was significant statistically, P＜0.05. Conclusion: Self-made TCM decoction in combination with topical use of MEBO ointment in the treatment of herpes zoster of damp-heat type can get good therapeutic effect and should be promoted to be applied in clinic. |
