| Objective To observe and compare the efficacies of treating itching in burn scars with scar ointment introduced by ultrasonic wave, with scar ointment and technique massage, and with ultrasonic therapeutic apparatus solely. Methods 109 patients with postburn hyperplastic scar and itching were divided into group A, B and C. Patients in group A were treated with scar ointment introduced by ultrasonic wave; patients in group B were treated with scar ointment and technique massage; patients in group C were treated with ultrasonic therapeutic apparatus. Efficacy of the three groups were observed 60 days later. Results Efficacy of group A is better than that of group B and group C, with better itch relieving effect on wound. Conclusion The method of scar ointment introduced by ultrasonic wave alleviates itching in burn scars, and is worthy of clinical popularization and application. |
