| 【Abstract】Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of fire needle combined with MEBO in the treatment of clavus. Methods: Seventy-six patients with clavus admitted into the PLA 95861 Logistics Hospital between January 2013 and January 2015 were divided into two groups according to the random number table: a treatment group (38 cases) and a control group (38 cases). In the treatment group, patients were treated with fire-needle combined with the exposure method of MEBO while in the control group, patients were treated with Salicylic Acid and Phenol Plasters. The treatment effects in the two groups were observed. Results: In the treatment group, all the 38 cases were cured, with a cure rate of 100.00%, an average healing time of （8.78±3.32)d and pain relieving duration of（3.52±3.28）d. No adverse reaction was observed during the whole treatment course, and the 6-month follow-up showed one case relapsed, the relapse rate being 2.63%. In contrast, in the control group, 20 out of the 38 cases were cured, showing a cure rate of 52.63%, an average healing time of （11.53±1.78）d and pain relieving duration of （9.94±1.25）d. During the treatment course, 9 cases developed complications, the complication incidence being 23.68%, and the 6-month follow-up showed 5 cases relapse the relapse rate being 25.00%. The comparison between the two groups in terms of clinical efficacy showed that the treatment group was obviously superior to the control group and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: In the treatment of clavus, fire needle combined with MEBO presents a high cure rate, low relapse rate and short healing time and pain relieving duration, deserving to be promoted in clinic. |
