Objective: To discuss the effects of the individualized psychological nursing in patients with venous ulceration of lower extremity. Methods: Sixty patients with venous ulceration of lower extremity admitted to Nursing Clinic of Chronic Wound Department of Dalang Hospital of Dongguan in Guangdong Province between January 2014 and June 2016 were randomly distributed into the observation group (30 patients) and the control group (30 patients). The same treatment was given to the patients in both groups but the individualized psychological nursing was given to patients in the observation group while the conventional psychological nursing was given to patients in the control group. The scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) before and after the intervention and the wound healing time were evaluated and compared between the two groups. Results: The average HAMA score of patients in the observation group was (9.19±2.96) with an average wound healing time of (41.16±10.40)d while the average HAMA score of patients in the control group was (14.13±2.83) with an average wound healing time of (50.21±12.55)d. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant with P<0.05. Conclusion: The individualized psychological nursing could effectively reduce the anxiety of patients with lower extremity venous ulceration and shorten the wound healing time, which has a value of clinical application. |
