【Abstract】Objective To observe the clinical effect of the in situ regenerative medical technology in the treatment of diabetic foot. Methods: Fifty-six patients with diabetic foot (85 wounds) admitted between December 2015 and December 2016 were treated with the in situ regenerative medical technology, and were set as the treatment group. Fifty patients with diabetic foot (65 wounds), who were admitted between 2014 and 2015 and treated with Mepilex, were retrospectively analyzed and set as the control group. The clinical curative effects in the two groups were observed and compared. Results: Three months after the treatment, the grade I and II wounds in the two groups were all completely healed, P>0.05 showing no statistically significant difference; the wound healing condition of grade III and IV wounds was compared between the two groups with χ2 test and the results showed statistically significant difference, with χ2=4.11 and 4.29 respectively, both P<0.05. During the treatment, 22 patients in the treatment group used antibiotics to control infection, while in the control group, 38 patients used antibiotics for the same purpose, the comparison showed statistically significant difference, with χ2=14.5,P<0.01. Conclusion: The in situ regenerative medical technology in the treatment of diabetic foot can realize significant curative effects such as effectively promoting the healing of diabetic foot ulcer wounds and reducing the use of antibiotics. In addition, the technology is easy and convenient to operate that patients can use it at home by themselves, enjoying better patients’ compliance.
