【Abstract】Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid combined with Zhike No.2 Haemorrhoids Prescription in the treatment of acute perianal eczema. Methods Eighty patients with acute perianal eczema admitted to Hubei Provincial Hospital of TCM were randomly distributed into a treatment group (40 patients) and a control group (40 patients). Patients in the control group were treated by the wet dressing of gentamicin combined with the external application of Pevisone while patients in the treatment group were treated by the wet dressing of Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid in combination with sitz bath and fumigation using Zhike No.2 Haemorrhoids Prescription. The clinical outcomes were then observed and compared between the two groups. Results After 3 weeks of treatment, the exudation at the wound began to decrease on day (4.36±1.73) and the wound area began to decrease on day (6.39±1.57) with a total effective rate of 97.5% in the treatment group, while in the control group, the wound exudation began to reduce on day (7.71±1.36) and the wound area began to decrease on day (8.05±1.76) with a total effective rate of 77.5%, the difference was statistically significant with P<0.05. Conclusion The combined application of Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid and Zhike No.2 Haemorrhoids Prescription can effectively promote the healing of skin lesion wounds in patients with acute perianal eczema and alleviate their symptoms such as pain and pruritus, and can be promoted in clinical practice. |
