【Abstract】 Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of MEBT/ MEBO in the treatment of cobra bite. Methods120 patients with gray black skin spots caused by cobra bites, admitted to The Affiliated People’s Hospital of Fujian Univer?sity of Traditional Chinese Medicine between June 2010 and June 2016, were randomly divided into a treatment group(60 cases) and a control group (60 cases). The patients in the treatment group were treated with MEBT/ MEBO locallywhereas the patients in the control group were treated with the recombined bovine basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) gellocally. The wound healing condition was observed and compared between the two groups. Results After 30 days of treat?ment, the total effective rate was 70.00% in the treatment group and 51.67% in the control group, between which the com?parison showed statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After 60 days of treatment, the total effective rate was96.67% in the treatment group and 86.67% in the control group, between which the comparison also showed statistically__significant difference (P <0.05). At the end, the wounds of patients were all completely healed in both groups. The woundhealing time was (43.63 ±20.48) d in the treatment group, which showed statistically significant difference as comparedwith (66.93 ±36.45) d in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of cobra bites, the clinical effica?cy of MEBT/ MEBO is obviously superior to that of bFGF, including effectively promoting wound healing and shortening thewound healing time, deserving to be promoted in clinical practice. |
