【Abstract】 To investigate the anesthesia effect of ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block on patients undergoing upper limb surgery. Methods 86 patients, who were admitted to Henan Provincial Hospital from February 2018 to February 2019 and underwent upper limb surgery, were selected as study subjects, and then divided, according to random number table, into an observation group (43 cases) and a control group (43 cases). Patients in the observation group were anesthetized with ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block, while patients in the control group were anesthetized with traditional blind brachial plexus block. The sensory nerve block onset time and motor nerve block onset time, sensory nerve block duration, motor nerve block duration and analgesic effect were compared between two groups. Results The sensory nerve block onset time and motor nerve block onset time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group. The sensory nerve block duration and motor nerve block duration in the observation group were significantly longer than those in the control group and the comparison showed statistically significant difference (t = 4.232, 8.694, 5.081, 4.689, all P = 0.000); the analgesic effect in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group and the comparison showed statistically significant difference (Z = -2.033, P = 0.042). Conclusion Ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block can shorten the onset time of anesthesia and improve the effect of nerve block during upper limb surgery, it has great clinical significance. |
