【Abstract】Objective To explore the correlation between neuron specific enolase (NSE), soluble protein-100β (S100β), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and sepsis associated encephalopathy (SAE) in burn patients. Methods One hundred burn patients with sepsis, admitted to The Medical Group of Zhengzhou First People's Hospital from April 2015 to June 2019, were selected as research subjects. According to SAE occurrence, the subjects were divided into two groups: SAE group (22 cases) and non-SAE group (78 cases). The levels of serum NSE, S100β and IL-6 were respectively compared between the two groups and the correlation between serum NSE, S100β, IL-6 and SAE was analyzed. Results The levels of serum NSE, S100β and IL-6 in the SAE group were all significantly higher than that in the non-SAE group (t=5.334, 4.111 and 8.623 respectively, all P=0.000). Spearman correlation coefficient analysis showed that the levels of serum NSE, S100β and IL-6 were all significantly correlated with SAE (r=0.323, 0.307 and 0.246 respectively, P=0.001, 0.002 and 0.014 respectively). Conclusion The levels of serum NSE, S100β and IL-6 are correlated with SAE. Dynamic monitoring of serum NSE, S100β, IL-6 in burn patients with sepses is of great significance for reducing the risk of SAE. |
