【Abstract】 Objective To study the clinical efficacy of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) in the treatment of diabetic foot. Methods 74 patients with diabetic foot, admitted into Zhengzhou Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University between December 2017 and December 2019, were enrolled as research subjects, and divided into study group (n =37) and control group (n =37) using the random number table. The wounds of patients in study group were treated with vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) whereas the wounds of patients in control group were treated with multifunctional wound dressing. The clinical efficacy, frequency of dressing change and wound healing time were compared between the two groups. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, 34 cases were cured and 3 cases turned better in study group, which was obviously better than control group with 25 cases cured and 12 cases turning better (Z = -2.585, P =0.010). The number of dressing change was (8.16±1.61) times in study group, being obviously less than the (12.67 ±2.50) times in control group (t = 9.226, P < 0.001). The wound healing time in study group was (33.06±6.40) d, being markedly shorter than the (47.58±6.72) d in control group (t =9.517, P < 0.001). Conclusion The application of vacuum sealing drainage in the treatment of diabetic foot can effectively decrease the frequency of dressing change, shorten wound healing time, and realize good clinical efficacy. |
