【Abstract】 Objective To study the clinical value of Braden Scale combined with Glasgow coma scale (GCS) for predicting pressure ulcer risk in patients with severe craniocerebral injury. Methods 94 patients with severe craniocerebral injury, admitted into Hewu General Hospital between June 2018 and December 2020, were enrolled as research subjects, and the data, including sex, first?time Braden scores and GCS scores after admission, and occurrence of pressure ulcer, etcgroup to analyze the predictive value of Braden Scale and GCS for assessing the occurrence of pressure ulcer. Results Among the 94 patients with severe craniocerebral injury, 40 patients (42.55% ) developed pressure ulcer, setting as ulcer group, and the other 54 patients (57.45% ) without suffering pressure ulcer were set as non?ulcer group. The Braden score and GCS score of patients in ulcer group were obviously lower compared with non?ulcer group (t = 5.905 and 3.003, P < 0.001, P = 0.003). Spearman’s correlation analysis showed that the occurrence of pressure ulcer had significant negative correlation with Braden score and GCS score (r = - 0.543 and - 0.482, both P < 0.001). ROC curve analysis showed that thearea under the curve (AUC) assessed jointly by Braden score and GCS score for pressure ulcer occurrence was 0.847, with the sensitivity being 95.00% and the specificity being 77.41% . Conclusion The Braden scale and GCS have a high value of predicting pressure ulcer risk in patients with severe craniocerebral injury.
