Abstract: A patient diagnosed with left lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans accompanied by diabetic foot (Wagner grade 4) and Staphylococcus aureus infection was admitted to Jining First People’s Hospital on September 9, 2023. Multimodal interventions were implemented, including left lower extremity arterial balloon angioplasty with iliac artery stent implantation, two-stage surgical debridement with toe amputation, and vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) under systemic anti-infective therapy. Postoperatively, outpatient wound management integrated multiple techniques, such as fumigation and washing with a Detoxification Formula, red light irradiation, and moist exposed burn ointment (MEBO) gauze dressing changes. After 90 days of meticulous care, the wound healed completely. During a 1-year follow-up, no recurrence was observed, with only superficial scarring and preserved limb function. |
